Completing the major in FCS is a two-step process. Family & Child Sciences Prerequisite Incomplete is the Step #1. Here student must achieve at least a grade of B- in 4 required courses: CHD 2230, FAD 2230, FAD 3220, and FAD 3271. Students who do not achieve the minimum grade are permitted to attempt the course only one additional time.

Once the prerequisite courses have been completed, students initiate Step #2 by completing the necessary forms requesting a change of major to Family & Child Sciences. These forms are available in SAN 207.
