The Internship Program

The TCS Internship Program has been successfully placing interns in real-world work experiences for over 35 years and works with an amazing list of internship partners that includes over 200 outstanding companies across the nation and around the world. You could be interning in L.A., Atlanta, Dallas, New York City, Orlando, Miami, or London. Furthermore, TCS fits your internship experience into a unique “internship block”—a single semester during which three preparatory courses are taught in the first eight weeks of the semester and you leave for your internship experience during the last eight weeks with companies such as Dillard’s, Macy’s, Chico’s, American Eagle, Burberry, Escada, Marie Claire, Office Depot, AmericasMart, or Home Shopping Network. Intense, but rewarding!

As a required course in the Retail Merchandising and Product Development major, your internship experience will be coordinated by Dr. Judy Miler, a retail management and buying maven, who speaks the language of retail companies and who will help place you where you can be most successful. The internship is carefully structured to ensure a meaningful experience and is also faculty-supervised for your protection.

The opportunities are simply endless to prepare for a successful career—from retail operations to sourcing, to buying, to public relations, to media, to service organizations. You can pursue opportunities in both corporate and field.

The TCS Internship Program has enjoyed a 100% placement rate over the years—with many interns accepting permanent positions as a result of their internship placement.
